Jeffery "Austin" Knott

Jeffery "Austin" Knott, 26, of Madison passed away tragically on July 18, 2026. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, he was the son of Jeffery "Spanky" Knott and Patricia Matlock.

He was loved by many and had a big heart. He loved working outdoors and could fix just about anything. He loved riding his motorcycle every chance he could. He had a smile that you could actually feel along with his contagious laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Austin is survived by his parents, Jeff Knott (Angie) and Patricia Ann Matlock; his sister, Brandi Goolsby (Brandon); his aunt, Amy McGee (Terri) and Darrylin England; his grandparents, Darrell and Linda Knott; and his his loyal canine companion, Pretty Girl.

Per the family's wishes, there will be no formal services held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Jeffery "Spanky" Knott to assist in handling the estate of his son.
