Judith Murphy Turner

Jun 15, 1941 — Aug 13, 2026

Judith Murphy Turner, lovingly known as Judy, was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, on June 15, 1941. At just one year old, she relocated with her family to Fort Pierce, Florida, where many years later she would meet the love of her life, William Harold Turner, Jr., known to his family as Harold.

On June 14, 1959, Judy and Harold were married and began a life together that would span 67 years. Their love and commitment to one another became the foundation of a beautiful family.

On February 9, 1961, Judy and Harold welcomed their first child, William Harold Turner, III (Bill). Three years later, on February 14, 1964, they welcomed their second son, Michael Thomas Turner (Mike).

Judy was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother to both of her sons. She was a nurturing parent, but she was also a role model — someone her boys could look up to and learn from throughout their lives. Her family was always at the center of her heart.

In June of 1980, the family relocated to North Carolina. As her sons grew older and began families of their own, Judy embraced one of the greatest joys of her life: being a grandmother.

Mike and his wife Glenda welcomed two sons, Michael Thomas Turner, II (Tom), born August 29, 1988, and Brandon Scott Turner, born August 23, 1994. Bill and his family welcomed his son, William Harold Turner, IV (Will), born August 8, 1989.

Judy loved her grandchildren with all her heart. Her grandson Will later blessed her with four great-grandchildren: Kendall Lucille Turner, born November 11, 2014; William Harold Turner, V (Liam), born September 16, 2018; Maverick Wallace Turner, born August 26, 2022; and Malachi West Turner, born February 10, 2023.

Her family was her greatest treasure, and she took immense pride in watching each generation grow.

Judy endured tremendous loss throughout her life. On August 13, 2016, she lost her beloved eldest son, Bill, to pancreatic cancer. Three years later, on September 16, 2019, she suffered the heartbreaking loss of her youngest grandson, Brandon, in a car accident. On June 1, 2021, she lost her eldest grandson, Tom, in a plane crash.

These losses left wounds that never completely healed, because a mother's and grandmother's love never ends. Judy carried the memories of Bill, Tom, and Brandon in her heart every day.

Ten years to the day after Bill's passing, Judy passed with the same devastating disease that had taken her son. After her own battle with pancreatic cancer, Judy passed away, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and an enduring legacy for the family she cherished.

Judy was also proceeded in death by her mother, Pearl Murphy; her father, Thomas Murphy; her sister, Patty Center; and her brother, Tommy Murphy.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 67 years, Harold Turner; her son, Mike Turner; her daughter-in-law, Glenda Turner; her grandson, William Turner; her sister, Sharon Peacock; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Kendall Turner, Liam Turner, Maverick Turner, and Malachi Turner.

Judy's life was defined by love — the love she shared with her husband, the love she gave her children, and the unconditional love she had for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Although her family will feel her absence every day, her memory will live on in the people she loved and in the generations that came after her. Her lessons, her strength, her love, and the memories she created will continue to be passed down through her family.

We find comfort in knowing that Judy is now at peace and reunited with the loved ones she lost along the way — especially Bill, Tom, and Brandon.

Her family will carry her memory forward, not only with sadness for her passing, but with gratitude for the years they were blessed to have her.

Rest peacefully, Judy.

You were deeply loved, you will be profoundly missed, and you will never be forgotten.

Until we meet again.
