Linda "Momma Linda" Pendry

In Loving Memory

Linda Russ Pendry, 76, of Walkertown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning of March 2, 2026. Born in Grundy, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John “Ralph” and Mildred (Keen) Whitt and wife to Charles "Eddie" Pendry. Linda served our Lord Jesus Christ as a nurse for 28 years and always extended the same level of care and compassion to her family and friends just as she would to her patients. She began her nursing career in 1988 in Richlands, Virginia. Upon moving to North Carolina she began her career at Baptist Hospital in Brenner Children’s Hospital of Winston-Salem, NC. She would continue her career in the Burn Unit of Baptist Hospital, and retire in the Intermediate Care Unit. 

She was a faithful member of Calvary Chapel/The Bridge for 20 years and The Way Fellowship of the Triad until her entry into the arms of Jesus. Linda was a lifelong avid Nascar fan. She spent several years making memories at various racetracks with her husband Eddie and as a member of clubs, attaining many special friendships along the way. She also enjoyed tending to her plants, catching a tan, and being a collector of collections. Linda is dearly missed by all who had the opportunity to know her, love her, and call her “Nana”.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Eddie Pendry; her daughter, Jamia Motsinger, and son, Jackson Motsinger; her sons, respective spouses, and grandchildren: Dennis and Ally Pendry - Liam, Benjamin, Eva; Brian Pendry - Cailyn and Ella; Neil and Whitney Pendry - Dylan, Haley and Owen; her sisters, Ruby Dye and Brenda Lamie and husband, Buster; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved very much. 

A service will be held in April with further details provided in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to The Way Fellowship of the Triad.
