In Loving Memory
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marilyn "Carol" Wilkins, 86, of Clemmons passed away on November 11, 2025 under the care of Mallard Ridge Assisted Living in Clemmons. Born in Guilford County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Jack and E. Pearle (Troxler) Wyrick and wife of the late Rowland Sherwood Wilkins.
Carol and her beloved, Sherwood, were high school sweethearts. After marrying, they traveled and experienced the world together as part of Sherwood's military career. Carol was an avid seamstress and awesome cook. She loved her family dearly and will be missed.
Carol is survived by her children, Tina Ward (Frank), Lisa Wilkins, and Cynthia Grogan (Stuart); her grandchildren, Ashley Joyner (Dennis), Bradley Hughes (Noelle), KateLyn Miller (Jacob), Brandon Souder, Taylor Bailey (Palmer), Myles Grogan, and Kayla Grogan; her great-grandchildren, Emma Joyner and Camden Joyner; her brother, Wayne Wyrick (Pat); her in-laws, Dan Wilkins (Emily); and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Conrad Wyrick.
The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain St. Kernersville NC 27284 on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 1:00PM - 2:00PM. Funeral services will follow beginning at 2:00PM with Minister Matthew Sink officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Kernersville.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Mountain Valley Hospice and Mallard Ridge Assisted Living for the compassionate and exceptional care provided to Carol.
