Nancy Sepor Karr
Dec 9, 1929 — Sep 8, 2026
Nancy J. (Imiolo) Karr, 96, of Kernersville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born December 9, 1929, in Buffalo, New York, Nancy was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen Sepor.
Nancy is survived by her children, Catherine Anderson, Alfred M. Imiolo (Lisa), Karen Barlow, and Michele Wille (Randy); her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sarah, Sean, Chris, Jacob, and Brandon; and her great-grandchildren, Hailey, Hayden, Hannah, Harper, Jack, Parker, Addison, Olive, and Micah. She is also survived by her sister Cherylann (Julio). She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Alfred J. Imiolo and Warren Karr; and her siblings, Peter S. Sepor and Helen Brylinski.
Nancy was a devoted Catholic, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a true friend to all who knew her. She was known for her feisty spirit, strong will, generous heart, and unwavering determination. Nancy was, without a doubt, one of the strongest women her family had ever known.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she remained deeply devoted to her Catholic faith. Nancy loved to bowl and enjoyed many years on the lanes before she was no longer able to participate. She was also an avid walker, making her daily neighborhood walks a part of her routine for as long as she could. Every Spring she looked forward to volunteering at First Presbyterian Church helping with their famous chocolate Easter egg tradition. Her determination and independence were hallmarks of who she was.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 616 S Cherry St., Kernersville, NC 27284, on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 11:30 AM, with Father Jason Christian officiating. Interment will immediately follow the mass at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. The family will receive friends for a reception in Salesian Hall at the conclusion of the burial.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Friends and family may sign the guestbook online at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service.
