Patricia "Pat" Stanley Turner

Patricia “Pat” Stanley Turner, 76, of Winston-Salem, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 13, 2026, at Brookridge Retirement Community. Born on June 25, 1950, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James “J.F.” and Julia (Johnson) Stanley and the wife of the late David Turner. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Brenda Stanley, sister-in-law Jean Hawkins, and her brother Bill Stanley.

Pat is survived by her brother James (Jim) Stanley, Jr. (Janice); brother-in-law Donnie Turner; sister-in-law Pam Stanley; nieces Stacey Elmes (Danny), Christy Bower (Chuck), and Laura Kellermanns (Franz); and her nephew Jamie Stanley (Ronda). She also leaves behind several great-nieces and great-nephews whom she dearly loved, as well as many special friends who will cherish her memory. She is additionally survived by her loyal companion, Gracie, her beloved dog.

Pat graduated from Wake Forest University with a master’s degree in library science. Throughout her career, she served as a teacher and librarian in the school system, worked for Piedmont Airlines, and later retired from American Express.

A devoted member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville, Pat faithfully lived out her love for God and others. She was actively involved in the North Carolina Presbyterian Pilgrimage, crocheted for the Prayer Shawl Ministry, sang tenor in the church choir, and taught Sunday School for many years. Her dedication, generosity, and gentle spirit touched countless lives.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Main Street United Methodist Church, 306 S. Main Street, Kernersville, NC 27284.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Brookridge Retirement Community and Priddy Manor Assisted Living for the love, kindness, and compassionate care they provided during the final six years of her life.
