Charlotte Schliepake Jackson

Services for Charlotte Schliepake Jackson of Homer, Louisiana will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity Southern Methodist Church (formerly Trinity Episcopal Church) in Homer, Louisiana. There will be a reception just prior to the service starting at 9:15 a.m. Charlotte passed away peacefully in Parker, Colorado where her daughter, Grace Jackson Baucum, son-in-law William N. Baucum and the rest of their family live. Charlotte, who was 100 years old on March 11, 2011, was a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, moving to Homer when she married Fred Lamar Jackson who died in 1995. Charlotte was a life-long member of St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral in Shreveport and attended Byrd High School and Centenary College. She was a member of the Claiborne Parish Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Trinity Bible Study and Prayer Group of Homer. Both she and Fred were very active in community affairs. She is survived by her daughter, Grace Jackson Baucum, two granddaughters, Charlotte Tiffany Van Deren and Stacey Lynn Haveman, and four great-grandchildren, William Lee Van Deren, Meagan Grace Van Detern, Hayden Wicher Haveman and Hannah Lotte Haveman. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Southern Methodist Church in Homer or to a charity of your choice. Service Information
