Claron E. (Steve) Ashburn, 80, of Parker, passed away at Denver Hospice on January 30, 2016.
Steve was born September 15, 1935 in Garnett, Kansas to Arthur and Ethel (Johnson) Ashburn. He married Carolyn Jean Hermann on September 4, 1954 in Westphalia, Kansas.
Steve was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of active duty.
Survived by his wife, Carolyn, daughters, Debra Klaes of Moab, Utah, Diana Peppers of Franktown, Colorado and Sandra Magpie of Firestone, Colorado. Also survived by Grandchildren, Riley Klaes of Fairbanks, Alaska, Allyson Klaes of Moscow, Idaho, Hayley Peppers of Chicago, Illinois, Amanda Peppers of Franktown, Colorado and Maddie Magpie of Firestone, Colorado.
A Graveside Service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Monday, February 8, 2016, 11:30 a.m. at Staging Area "B". Full military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force with support from The Patriot Guard Riders.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Steve's name be made to either The Denver Hospice or the Wounded Warrior Project.Charitable donations may be made to:
