Harlan "Harley" Steppig

In Memory of Harlan (Harley) Steppig Harlan James Steppig passed away unexpectedly at his home in Kiowa, Colorado on August 1, 2023. He was 40 years old at the time of his passing. Harley was born on August 19, 1982, in Aurora, Colorado. Born and raised in Colorado, Harley attended Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Class of 2001. His career was centered around software development and project management; however, his passions in life are what people will remember most. Harley will be remembered laughing around a campfire, camping with family and friends, riding his dirt bike with his brothers, and blissfully floating in the water on his kayak or paddleboard. Harley’s hobbies were working with his hands; anything from extensive DIY projects to woodworking with his children. Harlan is survived by his mother Pam Turner and his father Tim Lawless; his wife, Salem, and three children Blake (22), Evelyn (7) and Grant (4); his siblings, Jessica (Brett), Bobby (Kait), Steven, Joanna (Christian), Michael (Deborah), Tim (Danielle), Kristina (Josh), Jessica (Richard), and his many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Susan Wallace, brother-in-law, Andy Enis and father, Steve Steppig. Services are currently being planned.
