In Loving Memory of Janet R. Moore
December 16, 1939 – October 17, 2026
Janet R. Moore, of Parker, Colorado, was truly one of a kind. A woman of incredible strength, endless determination, and a sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest days, Jan lived a life full of love, laughter, adventure, and purpose.
To know Jan was to love her — and to know just how wonderfully stubborn she could be. She was fiercely independent, hilariously funny, and never one to back down from a challenge. Life threw more than its fair share of obstacles her way, but she faced them with a strength and determination that inspired everyone around her. Through it all, she taught her family one of life’s greatest lessons: never give up, no matter how hard things get.
Jan had an adventurous spirit and a love for experiencing all that life had to offer. From spending years living aboard a yacht on the Sacramento River with her beloved husband to enjoying days at the beach and exploring trails with her hiking club, or traveling the world, she was always ready for her next adventure. She believed life was meant to be lived, and she certainly lived hers.
Beyond her love of adventure, she had an extraordinary heart for helping others. She generously gave her time volunteering with numerous police organizations, the City of Englewood, and The Salvation Army. She also dedicated countless hours to Donor Alliance, helping raise awareness about the importance of organ donation. Giving back wasn’t simply something Jan did — it was part of who she was.
But of all the roles Jan held throughout her life, being a grandmother and great-grandmother was among her most treasured. She wasn’t just a grandma to her great-grandchildren; she was their best friend. She shared in their laughter, their adventures, and their lives in a way that created memories they will carry with them forever. The bond they shared was something truly special, and her absence will be felt in countless little moments for years to come.
Jan leaves behind a legacy far greater than words can express. She taught her family to be strong, to find humor even when life gets difficult, to help others whenever possible, and to never stop seeking adventure. She showed everyone around her what it meant to live with courage, determination, and a whole lot of personality.
While our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the years, the laughter, the lessons, and the unforgettable memories we were lucky enough to share with her.
The world will be a little less funny, a little less adventurous, and a whole lot quieter without Jan in it. But the love she gave and the strength she instilled in all of us will live on forever.
She was one of a kind, and she will be missed beyond measure.
