Joan Carol Sawyer

Joan Sawyer, 77 Joan (Joge) Sawyer, passed away peacefully at her Centennial home on May 29, 2017. Joge was born on January 29, 1940 in Denver, Colorado. She was the only child of Fred and Oma Jacoby. She graduated from East High School. Soon after high school, she was wed to Stephen P Sawyer. She spent most of her life dedicating her time to charitable work. She was on the board for the Denver Dumb Friends League and a member of two PEO chapters. She traveled between Centennial, Colorado and Kailua-Kona, Hawaii each year. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Stephen P Sawyer who passed on May 16, 2006. She is survived by her son Michael (LoriAnn) Sawyer, her granddaughter Krystyna (Jason) Sawyer, her grandson Austin (Kelly) Hunter, and her two great grandsons Brooks (Krystyna) and Carson (Austin).
