Joni Janeal Driever

Joni Janeal Wilson-Driever "Life is short, but sometimes long enough" This life lost its quality and meaning after losing her son, Calvin Wayd Criddle. JJ chose to go and be with him on February 14, 2015. Joni Janeal (changed to JJ at the age of nine) was born to Kenneth Edward and Ina Mae Wilson on April 5, 1963 in Boise, Idaho. Arriving after her three brothers, Kim Edward, Brad Lee and Troy Don, Ken and Ina were elated to get a baby girl. Joni was very spoiled and always felt very protected by her three big brothers. Ken and Ina later divorced and when Ina remarried, JJ was blessed with a very special step-dad, Gordon Bloxham. Gordon and Ina completed the family by adding a baby girl, JJ's beloved sister Kaci LeAnn. Gordon and Ina raised JJ and her siblings on a ranch in Downey Idaho where her love for animals kept her involved in 4-H, FFA, and High School Rodeo. In November 1979 JJ married Steven Jay Criddle and they brought the precious baby boy, Calvin Wayd into the world. JJ and Steve were later divorced and that is when JJ met the love of her life, Jack W. Driever. Married on December 22, 1984, JJ became the step-mother of three beautiful children, Jennifer Lynn, Jack Wynn and Jeanette Lee. Sharing their love for horses, Jack and JJ owned two ranches in Pocatello Idaho and trained race horses for many successful years. As life has a way of taking many unexpected turns, Jack and JJ took on the full custody of two grandbabies, Tevyn Wesley and Tesia Paige which they raised and loved as their own until they were adults. When the horse economy plummeted in Idaho and the winters started taking their toll, Jack and JJ made a life changing decision and purchased a ranch and relocated to Grady, New Mexico. Together they enjoyed the adventures of learning about a new land. JJ had to bring home every snake she came across so Jack could see it also. They loved fishing at Ute Lake, breaking colts, breeding purebred Great Pyrenees, and when Tevyn and Tesia joined 4-H and FFA, they were kept very busy with market steers, rabbits, poultry, and JJ helped Tesia complete hundreds of craft and photography projects for the fair. A short time after moving to New Mexico, Jack and JJ renewed their relationship with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. They were all baptized and became members of the Grady Baptist Church where JJ was a member of the choir. JJ is survived by her granddaughter, the absolute light of her life, Isabella Kayt Criddle, her husband Jack Driever, parents Kenneth Wilson and Ina Sickinger, siblings, Kim, Brad, Troy, and Kaci, Step-children Jennifer Jeffs, Jack Driever, Jeanette Butler, eight step-grandchildren Tesia Abermann, Tevyn Driever, Alissa and Jaxson Driever, Blayre and Preston Jeffs, Rylie Symonnette, and Lilly Caldwell. Thank you brother, Ken and Sandra for everything and thank you to your three amazing kids, Jasmine, Sierra and Marcus for providing laughter and sunshine to brighten my dark days.
