Margaret Mavis Tomlinson

Margaret Mavis Tomlinson September 13, 1936 ~ August 14, 2018 (age 81) Our beautiful Mavis passed away peacefully August 14th, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was married to the love of her life, “Eddie”, for 60 years. They had a fairytale relationship that started at a local dance in Lancashire, England. They emigrated from England to Seattle, WA in 1968 with their two daughters. Mavis loved living in the States and had many talents and hobbies throughout her life. She was an artist and painted beautiful landscape sceneries and flowers. She was extremely creative and could do anything related to arts and crafts - sewing, knitting, flower arrangements and doll making to name a few. Mavis was also an avid tennis player and enjoyed family camping trips and entertaining. She was a wonderful cook and carried out the English tradition of Sunday dinners for the family. Everyone loved her English meat pie! Mavis adored her 4 grandchildren and jumped at every chance to spend time with them. She also loved to travel and accompanied Ed on many of his business trips overseas. In her later years, as she battled dementia, her love for music took over. She continually serenaded everyone with her beautiful singing voice and danced whenever she heard a song. She found so much joy in music. Mavis was the loving wife of Ed. Amazing Mum of Caroline (Chris) Arcoleo of North Palm Beach, FL and Louise (Eric) Ronshaugen of Denver, CO. Sweet Grandma of Ali Arcoleo of North Palm Beach, FL, Drew Arcoleo of Los Angeles, CA, Rachelle Ronshaugen of Denver, CO and Carsten Ronshaugen of Redmond, WA. Sister of Kathleen (Ken) Hobin of MacTier, Canada and Nora (Dave) Pennington of Golborne, England. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Ave Maria Catholic Church, 9056 E. Parker Road, Parker, CO 80138. A Reception at the Church will follow the Mass.
