Nedra Werking

Nedra Werking was born in Glenwood Springs, Colorado on April 30, 1938, to David and Ethelmae Greear. She passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2023, shortly after suffering a stroke. Nedra was married to Don Werking, her high school sweetheart, for over 65 years. They met in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and lived in Kansas City, Missouri while Don was in dental school, and Cheyenne, Wyoming for several years while Don was in the air force. They then moved to the Denver suburb of Lakewood, Colorado, and they would remain in the Denver area for the remainder of their lives. They had two children, Jim and Rob, and Nedra was very focused on raising her family and supporting Don in his dental and orthodontic practices. Nedra enjoyed Colorado very much, and the Werking family went on many camping, fishing, and ski trips in the Colorado mountains. She also enjoyed traveling, and she and Don went on numerous trips together, including trips to Europe, Cozumel, Belize, Alaska, Texas, California, New York, Nebraska, Alabama, and Florida. Nedra was an avid Denver Broncos fan, but also cheered for the Kansas City Chiefs when the Broncos weren’t doing so well. Nedra enjoyed playing piano, reading books, and discussing politics. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Nedra was preceded in death only two months earlier by her husband Don. She is survived by her sons Jim (Carolyn) and Rob (Lisa), and her grandchildren Daniel, Jessica, Lexi, Joe, Sam, and Jakob.
