Russell Paul McCracken

Russell Paul McCracken was born in Mondamin IA, May 20, 1940. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Mondamin high school. Russ enrolled at Nebraska Christian College and graduated in 1963. On June 6, 1963 he married the love of his life Beverly Ruth Dietz in Cogswell North Dakota. Russ and Bev had two children and fostered two additional children who became part of their family. Russ began his ministry career at Douglas Street Church of Christ in Lincoln Nebraska before moving to Julesburg Church of Christ in Julesburg Colorado. In 1972 he was called to plant Southeast Christian Church in southeast Denver. Russ was the senior minister for 30 years, then moved to the care pastor role at Southeast for another 20+ years. Over his ministry he touched 1000’s of lives and was a blessing to many people over the years.

Russ was preceded in in death by his brothers Robert and Harold and his foster daughter Brenda. He is survived by his wife Bev, his two children Ron and Julie, foster son Scott, sister Sylvia, 11 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.

Russ will be greatly missed by his family and many, many people to whom he ministered over his lifetime
