Todd Charles Stansfield
Nov 16, 1949 — Jul 16, 2025
Todd Charles Stansfield was born on November 16, 1949, to Glade and Cecilia Stansfield, who resided on a farm northeast of Otis, Colorado. Todd attended the Otis Schools, graduating in the Class of 1967. As a student, he was involved in leadership positions in his class, as well as in the Student Council and National Honor Society, and was an active participant in sports, particularly football and track. From his time in high school and throughout his life, however, golf was his passion and a sport in which he excelled.
After completing high school, Todd enrolled at the University of Denver, where he earned a degree in Business Finance in 1972. Todd had many talents but was well-known for his singing capability. As a student at DU, Todd was a member of the Lamont School of Music Men’s choir. This organization traveled extensively,
performing for audiences throughout the country.
After graduation, Todd accepted a position with the Prudential Insurance Company, where he devoted most of his early business life. He remained in the insurance industry throughout his career, later operating as an independent broker, specializing in health and benefit plans. He was a long-time member of Columbine Country Club, having many friends and golfing buddies there. Concurrently with his insurance business, Todd also managed the family farm near Otis.
Survivors include Todd’s wife Maryanne, his son Todd Jr. of Parker, his daughter Lindsay(Morgan) and granddaughters Quinn and Willow of Grand Junction and his brother Steve(Cindy) of Fort Collins.
