In Loving Memory of Travelle Wright

Travelle (Claybron) Wright, age 57, passed away peacefully at home after battling pancreatic cancer on 20 July. Travelle was born in Montgomery, Alabama to Flossie and Lorenz Claybron. She attended Alabama State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and later, her Master’s in Public Administration from Auburn University Montgomery. She commissioned into the U.S. Air Force (USAF) where she met her husband, Dan Wright. Together, they had two children, Danielle and Jacob. She served 20 years in the USAF with assignments throughout the United States and retired as a Major. Travelle was a woman of deep integrity and had a strong moral code. Her strong faith in the Lord gave her strength and her sense of responsibility to others. She volunteered at her various churches with the children’s ministry and the prayer ministry. She volunteered for many years with the Bible Study Fellowship in roles ranging from teaching children to leading the volunteer team. Travelle was thoughtful, kind, never judgmental and she would light up a room with her beautiful smile and laughter.

Travelle is survived by her husband Dan, daughter Danielle, son Jacob and her sister, Bethany Allen.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, 28 July from 12:00-2:00 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 at the Eastern Hills Community Church, 25511 E. Smoky Hill Rd. Aurora, Co 80116. A private burial will be held at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Travelle’s name.
