Olga Mishel Gazda

Olga Mishel Gazda passed away peacefully at her home on May 4, 2026.

She is survived by her sister, Doris Gazda of Tempe, Arizona; her nephew, Andrew Petranek of Los Angeles, California; her niece, Dori Ann Davis of Scottsdale, Arizona; her grandnephew, Dashel Petranek of Los Angeles, California; her cousins, Abdon Ackad of Derwood, Maryland, and James Gazda of Houston, Texas; her godson, Alexander Allin; her personal assistant, LaVaughn Barker; her housekeeper, Teresa Mendizabal; her caregivers, Sarah Bendu and Letitia Mendizabal; as well as many friends and former students.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Symphony Orchestra and St. Andrew's United Methodist Church.
