Estela Stachowitz

Jan 5, 1949 — Oct 17, 2026

Estela Stachowitz, 77, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away on October 17, 2026. She was born on January 5, 1949, in León, Guanajuato, Mexico.

Throughout her life, Estela wore many hats. She had a career as an immigration inspector then retired as a teacher’s aide and was a master seamstress. Above all, she was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a friend to everyone whose life she touched.

Estela was known for her love of gardening & devotion to God. She also had a remarkable talent for sewing, cooking, and listening. To her, nothing was ever truly beyond repair. Her familiar sentiment was that things were “still good,” reflecting her resourcefulness, patience, and belief that there was always value in making something last. No task was too big or too small, and no one was ever turned away when they needed a helping hand.

Selfless and generous by nature, Estela was always willing to give her time and energy to help family, friends, and anyone she encountered. Her kindness, caring spirit, and willingness to put others before herself left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.

Estela was also a devout Catholic who carried her faith with her every day. Her faith was an important part of her life and helped shape the love, compassion, and generosity she shared with others.

Estela will be deeply missed, but her love and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched. Whether remembered through a lovingly tended garden, a carefully mended piece of clothing, or a simple act of kindness, her spirit will continue to live on in the everyday moments that reflect the person she was.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Gerald Stachowitz; her children, Kristie, John, and Ethan; her grandchildren, Natalia, Stela, and

Axel; and her siblings, Jose and John Rodriguez.

Her family will forever cherish her love, her strength, her generosity, and the many ways she made life better for those around her.

May she rest in eternal peace, in the loving arms of God.
