Charles Patrick Jaramillo, Jr.

Charles Patrick Jaramillo Jr, 37, was born on August 30, 1989, and passed away on September 18, 2026. His passing leaves behind a heartbreak that words cannot fully describe, especially for the family who loved him through every chapter of his life.

Charles was raised by his grandparents, Eutimio and Delfina Garcia, who loved him as their own. From the time he was young, they were there for him, raising him, protecting him, guiding him, and loving him through every season of his life. Their love for Charles was never conditional. No matter how difficult life became, no matter what mistakes he made, and no matter how far he wandered, he was always their grandson, always their family, and always loved.

Charles struggled with addiction, and his journey was a painful one. Addiction can change a person’s life in ways that are difficult to understand, and his family experienced the heartbreak of watching someone they loved fight a battle they could not fight for him. There were difficult days, painful moments, and times when they wished they could take the struggle away.

But through it all, Charles was loved.

His grandparents never stopped loving him. They never stopped hoping for him. They never stopped seeing the person underneath the struggle. To them, he was never just his addiction or his mistakes. He was the boy they raised, the grandson they cherished, and a part of their hearts that could never be replaced.

Charles had a creative soul. He loved making music and had an incredible gift for drawing. Through his music and his artwork, he could express things that words sometimes could not. Those gifts were pieces of who he truly was, and they are memories his family will hold onto.

Charles leaves behind his grandmother, Delfina Garcia, his mother, Patricia Holiman; and his daughter, Alize Chavez.

There is a bittersweet comfort in knowing that Charles is now in Heaven with his grandpa, Eutimio who passed away just weeks before him, and his auntie, Mindy who was also waiting for him on the other side.

We can only imagine the moment they saw him again, no anger, no pain, no addiction, no mistakes. Just love.

The same unconditional love that his grandparents gave him here on Earth is the love we hope surrounded him as he made his way home.

Charles's life was complicated, but his worth was never complicated. He was loved. He was wanted. He mattered. His struggles were part of his story, but they were never the whole story.

Today, we choose to remember Charles for the boy his grandparents loved the artist who could bring his imagination to life, the musician who expressed himself through sound, and the person underneath it all who deserved love, and received it, unconditionally.

May Charles finally be at peace.

May he finally be free from the battle he fought for so long.

And may he know, wherever he is, that his family never stopped loving him.

Rest peacefully, Charles. Your grandparents loved you then. They loved you through everything. And they will love you forever.
