Derek Raymond Quibell Muniz, Born November 11, 1988 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Derek passed away on Saturday September 13, 2025.

Derek Raymond Quibell Muniz , beloved grandson, brother, uncle, and nephew, passed away on September 13, 2025.    A memorial service will be at a later date.   He is survived by his grandparents, John and Mabel Strong, siblings Mark and Atrelle Quibell of Albuquerque. Sister Melissa Amber of Colorado. Grandfather, Victor Muniz, of Utah, aunts and uncles Sophie Dominquez, Victoria Muniz, and Vincent Muniz of Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents Patrick Muniz and Janelle Quibell, grandfather James Quibell, grandmother Frances Muniz, and aunt Atrelle Quibel. Derek was a very loving person; he was the apple of his grandmother’s eye.   He was kind-hearted and loved animals. Throughout his life he adopted all animals that came his way. He enjoyed shopping and socializing with family and friends. Derek was known for his laughter and kind spirit.   No services have been scheduled. A private memorial service will be scheduled in the future.
