Donald Marvin Segura

Donald Marvin Segura, affectionately known as “Duck” or “Don,” was born on July 14, 1961, and passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2025, just one day shy of six months after the passing of his twin brother, Ronald. It is hard not to believe that his heart was longing for his other half, and God gently guided them back together.

Donald is welcomed into eternity by his mother, Connie; his brothers Clyde, Geno, Rudy, Ronald, Steve and Johnny; his sister, Maria; and his beloved fur baby, Al Pacino.

He is survived by his father, Cruz Segura; his son, Chris Brown; grandchildren, Michael and Aubrey Brown; his beloved “Babe”, Bonnie Anaya; sister’s Henrietta “Soupy” Montoya (Steve), Grace Rivera (Daniel); Laura Ann Sifuentes and Julian Sifuentes, whom he helped raise; his granddaughters by heart, Alyssa Lucero and Hope Gutierrez; dear nephews Rudy Segura, Steven Segura, and Lucius Archuleta; his fur baby, Cookie and several other loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Donald was a talented drummer who shared his love of music with everyone around him. He cherished his record collection, dancing and attending concerts. Whether he was spoiling his dogs, passionately cheering “Go Boys!” for the Dallas Cowboys or being outdoors, he found joy in the simple things he loved most. Donald will be remembered as a beautiful human being, loving and kind to everyone.

They say a family’s story is written not only in the years we live, but in the love we leave behind. Now, with all the Segura brothers and the eldest Segura sister gone, the silence feels heavier and the world a little dimmer. Yet in that silence, their legacy still speaks.

The name Segura comes from the Spanish word Seguro – “safe, secure, once describing someone who protected or guarded others.” True to their name, the Segura’s lived that meaning. It lived in the challenges they faced together and in the way they stood strong for one another when life grew hard. It echoed in their laughter, in their stubborn resilience and in the unique mark each one left on the hearts that loved them. They were and always will be, protectors of each other.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 8:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 am at The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th St., NW.
