In Loving Memory of Donalda Mae Hibben

Donalda Mae Hibben, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on November 3, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on October 6, 1941, in Seattle, Washington, to Maybelle and Robert Fuller. She grew up in Bothell, Washington, as the oldest of five children.

On February 8, 1961, Donalda married Frederick Elden Hibben, beginning a marriage and family that would become the center of her life. Together, they raised ten children: Teresa (Dan, deceased) Hummell, Cindy (Erik) Webb, David (Pauline, deceased), Mark, Daniel (Amy), Michael deceased (Tina ), Carrie (Brian) McCasline, Adam (Trish), Matthew (Esmarelda), and Samuel (Jessica). Their family grew to include 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom were a great source of joy and love in her life.

Above all else, Donalda loved her family. Her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the greatest joy of her life. She devoted herself to making a home filled with love and to caring for those around her. Whether through a kind word, an act of service, or something she had lovingly made with her own hands, she continually found ways to show her family how much they meant to her.

A professional seamstress, Donalda had a special talent for creating beautiful things. She especially loved making quilts, blankets, and embroidery projects for her children and grandchildren. Each creation was an expression of her love, and many family members will cherish these handmade treasures as lasting reminders of her. Through her work, she gave her family gifts that will continue to be treasured for generations.

Donalda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she and Frederick had the opportunity to serve together as missionaries at the London England Temple. She lived a life of service, generously giving of herself to her family, her church, and her community. Her faith and commitment to serving others were reflected in the way she lived each day.

Donalda was the oldest of five children. She is survived by her sisters, Berylene (Allen) Chubbs and Frances (James, deceased) Wadley. Her brothers, Douglas and Warren, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Frederick; her children and their families; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael.

Donalda's greatest legacy is the family she loved so dearly. The quilts she made, the service she gave, the faith she lived, and the generations of family who carry her love forward will remain a lasting testament to her life. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

“Choose you this day whom ye will serve; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
