Eutimio Garcia

Jun 3, 1945 — Aug 23, 2026

Emblem

Eutimio “Timo” Garcia, was born on June 3, 1945, in Grants, New Mexico, to Frank and Erma (Chavez) Garcia. He passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico at 81 years young.

To those who knew and loved him, Tim was so much more than a name or a date. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend who left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of everyone around him.

Tim shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, his wife, Delfina (Pinny) Garcia. Their life together was built on love, companionship, laughter, little arguments and the many little moments that become the greatest memories. Whether they were at home watching old westerns together or heading out with his sisters-in-laws to the flea market or casino, Tim simply enjoyed being beside the woman he loved. Their 57 years together was a beautiful testament to the love and life they shared.

In 1964, Tim proudly joined the United States Air Force, beginning a chapter of his life defined by courage, dedication, and service. He served his country as an airplane mechanic during the Vietnam War. During his military career, he received the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Outstanding Unit Award, Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. His service was something his family could always be proud of, and the dedication he showed during those years remained an important part of who he was.

But perhaps Tim's greatest legacy was not found in medals or accomplishments it was found in the people he loved.

Tim had a way of making friends wherever he went. He loved to talk, and if you gave him the chance, he could tell stories for days. His stories, his laughter, his personality, and the way he could strike up a conversation with just about anyone made him truly one of a kind. He never needed much to be happy. Give him his family, his wife by his side, an old western on the television, and someone willing to listen to one of his stories, and he was content.

He was the kind of man whose presence filled a room, and his absence will leave a space that cannot be filled. His family will miss his voice, his stories, his laughter, and all the ordinary moments like all of us sneaking him his favorite snacks, that now feel like the most precious memories.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Delfina Garcia; his daughter, Patricia (Garcia) Holiman, and son-in-law, Clayton Holiman; his son, Fabian Garcia, and daughter-in-law, Diana Garcia; his grandchildren, Charles Jaramillo, Symonne Saavedra, Carlo Saavedra, Danea Garcia, DeJa Garcia, Jacqueline Zamora, and Xavier Garcia; his great-grandchildren, Alize Chavez, Lorial Saavedra, and Bennett Saavedra; his brothers, Clifford Garcia and Harry Garcia; and his sisters-in-law, Rose Garcia and Marie Martinez-Garcia.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Mindy Garcia; his brother, Frankie Garcia; and his parents, Frank and Erma (Chavez) Garcia.

Although saying goodbye to Tim is incredibly difficult, his family can find comfort in knowing that his life was filled with love. His memories will live on in every story retold, every laugh shared, every old western watched, and in the generations of family who carry a piece of him with them.

The love Tim gave his family will never disappear. It will live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

He may no longer be here to tell one of his stories, but his family will carry those stories and him in their hearts forever.

Rest peacefully, Tim. You were deeply loved, you will be forever missed, and you will never be forgotten.
