Ina Jean H. Gonzales

Ina Jean H. Gonzales, 76, of San Mateo, New Mexico, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 16, 2026, surrounded by her daughter and her loved ones.

She is now reunited with the love of her life, Jim Mitchem, who passed away in 2023; her parents, Demetria Montano Gonzales and Jose Telesfor Gonzales; and all her siblings who preceded her in death.

Ina Jean was born in 1949 in San Mateo, New Mexico. She married Jim Mitchem in 1969, and together they welcomed their only daughter, in 1970. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Edria D. Mitchem.

Ina Jean found great joy in crocheting and Swedish weaving with her friends at the Senior Center. She also enjoyed gathering with friends for weekly meals and cherished the fellowship and laughter they shared. Ina Jean loved deeply and wholeheartedly, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her final resting place will be overlooking Albuquerque in the beautiful Sandia Mountains.
