In Loving Memory of Irene Martinez

Irene Was Born March 15th 1983 In las Cruces NM to Mother Yvonne Clark and Father Pedro Infante.

Irene was a loving and caring person who enjoyed being creative and making things for others. She had recently started her own business making cups, something that brought her a great deal of happiness and pride. She also enjoyed diamond art, cooking, and spending time with her family. Some of her happiest moments were found in the simple things—preparing a meal, working on a new creation, laughing with loved ones, and enjoying time together.

Family meant everything to Irene. She loved deeply, cared freely, and treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by the people closest to her. Her family will remember the love she put into everything she did, from the food she cooked to the beautiful things she created.

Irene is survived by her spouse, Ramon Martinez, her five children, Alexandra Velasquez, Johnny Velasquez Jr, Mariah Sandoval and her spouse, Kameron, and Jasmin Velasquez, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Nathan Velasquez of Las Cruces, New Mexico; her five beloved grandchildren; her sisters, Francine Infante and her spouse, Yvette, Rachel Luna, and Terri Luna, all of Albuquerque, Delilah Gonzales and her spouse, Robert, of Phoenix, Arizona; and her brothers, Adam Infante and his spouse, Candace, of Hobbs, New Mexico, Lorenzo Clark of Las Cruces, Larry Luna Jr. and Orlanda Luna of Albuquerque, and Peter Infante of Phoenix.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Infante; her stepfather, Larry Luna; and her sister, Angela Luna.

Irene’s life ended much too soon. On August 29, 2026 Irene passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. The love she shared and the memories she created will live on through her family and friends. She will be remembered whenever her loved ones gather around the table, see a beautiful handmade creation, or share a story that brings back her smile. Irene will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A memorial service celebrating Irene’s life will be held on September 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at New Beginnings Church, located at 4770 Montgomery Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87109.
