Joseph "Joe" Eugene Dosstter

Joseph Eugene “Joe” Dosstter, 53, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2026, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was born November 24, 1972, in Normal, Illinois, and was raised in Fort Scott, Kansas.

Joe began his career after moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he worked in golf course greens management. Without any formal training, he held Golf Course Superintendent positions at several golf courses in the Albuquerque area, including Arroyo del Oso Golf Course and Puerto Del Sol Golf Course. He was named Albuquerque Golf Course Manager of the Year for his contributions to the local golf community.

While living in Albuquerque, Joe met Natalie Gonzales, who became the love of his life. After several years in a demanding career, Joe and Natalie made the decision to relocate to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to prepare for a retirement near the ocean. There, Joe began working in a local school district as extra security. Through his eagerness to help and willingness to learn, the school discovered his natural gift for Information Technology. Despite having no formal education in the field, Joe worked his way up to become the head IT specialist, a role in which he thrived. His strong sense of organization and structure made him exceptionally well-suited to the work, and he truly looked forward to each day on the job.

Joe was known as a talented handyman who was never afraid to tackle repairs of any kind. Together, he and Natalie transformed three homes into welcoming places where family members were always invited to stay. They often spoke of their life in Fort Lauderdale as their own personal paradise. Joe was actively involved in his Florida community and enjoyed calling Bingo games and serving as the DJ for community get-togethers.

Joe was the proud father of two daughters, Ashton Anderson and Kaitlynn Dosstter, whom he loved deeply and spoke of with great pride. He was eagerly looking forward to meeting his new granddaughter, Charlie Scott Anderson, who was born on April 9, 2026. Joe also lovingly embraced the role of supportive father to Natalie’s two adult children, Anthony Ferriera and Mychal-Ann Gonzales. He cherished being called “Grandpa” by his grandchildren Ariana, Alexis, Anastasia, Alysse, Anthony J., and Atreyu. A recent video of Joe fishing with AJ will remain a treasured memory for all.

Joe will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Natalie; his children, Ashton, Kaitlynn, Anthony, and Mychal-Ann; and his grandchildren, Ariana, Alexis, Anastasia, Alysse, Anthony J., Atreyu, and Charlie. He was also dearly loved and will be missed by family in Kansas, including his sister Vicky Ramsey and her husband, Michael; his uncle and aunt, Dan and Carol Ruble; his nephew, Derek Ramsey; his niece, Amber Behr; his cousins,

Janette Boone, David Ruble, Shelly Meadows, and Kimberly Eastwood; and his brother, Raymond Dosstter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Patsy Dosstter; his grandparents, Ray and Mildred Ruble; his uncle, Larry Ruble; his aunt, Janie Ruble; and his sister, Linda Nutile.

Joe’s kindness, dedication, and love for his family will be remembered always, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
