Judith Lynn O'Neal Baxter

Judith Lynn O'Neal Baxter, age 76, passed away on November 28, 2025.

She was born on April 18, 1949, in Springfield, Illinois, to Jack and Leslie O'Neal. Judith spent most of her life in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she graduated from Sandia High School in 1967 and built a life filled with family, friendship, and creativity.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Larry O'Neal; and her loving husband, James P. Baxter.

Judith is survived by her sons, Aaron Sanders of Albuquerque, NM, and Jeremy Sanders and his wife Ashley of Oklahoma City, OK; and by her Daughter-in-Love, Coral Cordova, and her husband Jeff, both of San Antonio, Texas.

She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Bekah Snodgrass and her husband Josh and their children, Caleb and Blaire; Micailah Morgan and her husband Justin and their son, Cash; Rachel Sanders; and Max Etter. She is also remembered fondly by many dear friends who enriched her life through the years.

Judith enjoyed the quiet joys of crosswords, stained glass, creativity and spending time with the friends she held close. A cold Pepsi Zero and Fox News were two constants in her daily routine, simple comforts that always made her smile. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, her unwavering resolve, and, of course, her opinions; always honest and always her own.

She is at peace, and her family celebrates the love, humor, and resilience she shared so freely.
