Lane Passed away on Tues. May 5th 2026 an home in the arms of the love of his life after a

Couragous battle with congestive heart failure and copd.

Born Feb 20th 1958 to Keith H and Dora (LaFon) Simpson in Ogden Utah.

Lane attended Viewmont High School in Centerville Utah. Lane went on to work in contstruction and the oil field.

In 1985 Lane met the love of his life Colleen Brown, they had 40 years together. Lane became stepdad to Colleen daughter Jennifer, and in 2001 a step granddaughter Reanna brought him a life long love of working with horses and rodeo.

Lane enjoyed outdoors, he was always out hikiing, camping, hunting, and fishing.

Lane was involved in the 4-H for 18 years, mentoring his "rodeo Kids." Lane and Colleen did a Gymkhana (teaching rodeo) in the Cuba, NM area for as long as he was able. Lanes rodeo kids meant so much to him was always in the arena providing support, comfort, safety, and teaching his kids to compete in rodeo, we have had several kids go forward into pro rodeo, and several young ladies went on to become rodeo Queens. During our county fair you would find him driving a parade float full of kiddos, helping with horse events, and cooking hundreds of turkey legs each year.

Lane was also was a member of the Sandoval County Fair board for many years, assisting with rodeo's and what ever was needed always stepping up to the plate as needed.

Lane welcomed a neice and nephew , Shelby and Dalton into our lives in early 2004, with Dalton we welcomed Wesley Dalton Simpson, into our lives, Lane loved his grandson Wesley with all his heart, Shelby has added Grandson Tucker Durham and soon we will welcome Granddaughter EmberLynn Durham.

Lane was precceded in death by his parents, Keith and Dora Simpson, Sister LaFon Allen, Brothers Kris Simpson and Jeff Simpson,

Surviving are Colleen Simpson, Jennifer Madrid, Reanna Madrid,

Brothers Floyd Simpson , Theron Simpson, Scott Simpson.

Sisters Carrie Holbrook, Becky Simpson, Doriann Bowman, Linda Yount.

Dalton Simpson, Shelby Simpson Durham, Wesley Simpson, Tucker Durham.

Numerous nephews and nieces, cousins, many many rodeo grandkids. Lane loved his rodeo family.
