Lita M. Hopkins

Hopkins, Lita M (May 19, 1945 - February 2, 2026).  Lita was born on May 19, 1945 in Las Vegas New Mexico and Our Lord called her home on February 2, 2026.  She was 80 years old. She is survived by her loving son Louis and her daughter Terese Abeyta and her son-in law Anthony Abeyta, her grandson Joshua Abeyta and his partner Natalia and their son and daughter, Lita’s great granddaughter Macie Rae and great grandson Miles, her granddaughter Naomi Abeyta, and her daughter, and Lita’s great granddaughter Ariyah.  Her grandsons Louis Mark and Louis Ray.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Laurie and her son Kenneth and her mother Theresa Archuleta-Quintana and father Catarino Quintana.  Lita loved her family very much. Especially her great grandchildren.  Lita loved playing and coaching softball, going to the casino and playing Keepy Uppy with her great granddaughters.  Her Rosary and viewing will be recited at 10:30am and the Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday February 27, 2026 at San Martin de Porres Church in Albuquerque New Mexico. The presider will be Father Javier Gutierrez and Father Jerry Plotkowski . Lita will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
