Nancy Colbert

Nancy Colbert, 86 from Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 21, 2025.

She was born in Wayland, NY. She graduated from Wayland Central School and State Agricultural and Technical Institute at Alfred, NY. She worked as a legal assistant for over 45 years. She enjoyed bowling and was very active in her local bowling association. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.

Nancy is proceeded in death by her parents, Herbert and Grace Mitchell of Wayland, New York and her sister Marjorie Whiting of Avoca, New York.

Nancy is survived by her children Lisa (John) Martin in Clarksville, TN; Jeff (Marlo) Daily in Rio Rancho, NM; Brenda (Robert) Jolley in Carmi, IL, James (Mel) Colbert in Albuquerque, NM and (8) grandchildren and (18) great grandchildren.

Siblings: Sarah Furia, Alberta Didas, Jane (Ron)Salles, Marian Clark, Herbert (Linda)Mitchell, Ted (Joanne)Mitchell, Thomas Mitchell, Peter Mitchell, Harriet Mitchell and Roxanne (Richard)Vancuren. Several nieces and nephews.

At Nancy’s request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Arrangements are by Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque, NM.
