Steven Andrew Garcia

Steven Andrew Garcia, devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away on June 26, 2026.

Born July 2, 1958 in Albuquerque, NM, Steve is survived by his wife of 42 years, America Garcia, daughters Stephanie Sanchez, spouse Ray Sanchez, and Adela Garcia Chavez, spouse Greg Chavez, and five grandchildren Estrella Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Gabriella Garcia, Isaiah Chavez and Xavier Chavez.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cristobal (Toby) Garcia and Emily Garcia. He was the youngest of 6 siblings, Margaret, Pete, David, Roberta and Mike, and had several nieces and nephews.

He retired from the City of Albuquerque in 2014 as a street sweeper operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family as well as playing and listening to music and working on, talking about and collecting cars. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at Riverside Funeral Home on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 10 am. No reception will follow.
