Susan June Wabik

Susan June Wabik, 68, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on August 24, 2026.

Susan was born on November 3, 1957, in Denver, Colorado, to Charles and Norma Vig. Although she made her home in Albuquerque, Susie never lost her love for Colorado—or for her beloved Denver Broncos.

Anyone who knew Susie knew just how seriously she took Broncos football. Football season meant cheering, yelling at the television, and, more often than not, losing her voice from screaming at the TV. Her love for the Broncos was unmistakably Susie and something her family and friends will always remember about her.

Susie was also a longtime country music fan, with a special love for Mark Chesnutt. She had a lifelong love for animals and was known for her generosity. She had a giving heart, especially when it came to her family, and was always willing to help the people she cared about.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Norma Vig; her brother, Jesse Vig; and Dennis Wabik, to whom she was married for 13 years and with whom she shared her daughter, Jennifer.She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer, and son-in-law, Mario; and her grandchildren, Diego, Isaiah, Matthew, Isabella, and Leonidas. Her family will carry forward the memories, stories, and unmistakable pieces of Susie that made her who she was.Susie’s life was not without hardship, particularly during her final years, and those who loved her find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, free from pain and the physical limitations she endured for so long.
