Victoria Sandoval

Victoria Sandoval passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 14, 2026, at the age of 99.

Victoria was born on March 23, 1927, in Madrid, New Mexico, to Ramon and Paula Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Sandoval; her son, Anthony “Aggie” Sandoval; and her brothers, Jose, Evaristo, Rudy, and Henry Sanchez.

She is survived by her sister, Ramona Ochoa; her six children, Pauline (Richard), Helen, Leo, Jacob (Sandy), Jimmie, and Connie; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends, and caregivers.

Victoria found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved visiting the casinos, putting together jigsaw puzzles, spending time with family, playing poker, catching up on the latest gossip, enjoying sweets, birdwatching from her window, and listening to Mariachi and Spanish music.

She will be remembered for her warm heart and the love she showed to everyone who visited, called, or stayed connected with her through messages and Facebook on her tablet. She treasured hearing about the lives and stories of those she loved.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd NE, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.

Following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to gather for a reception at the home of George and Luana Pohl.
