Eugene Glen Chavez

Mar 20, 1979 — Oct 21, 2026

Eugene Glen Chavez will be remembered as a loving father, a dedicated tradesman, and a gentle, kind, and generous man whose presence touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

Above all, Eugene was a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Khloe Carmen, who held a special place in his heart. One of the most cherished parts of their relationship was their special daddy-daughter dates on the weekends. Eugene loved taking Khloe to the mall and treating her to nice dinners, creating precious memories and moments together that she will carry with her throughout her life. He affectionately called her “Monkey,” a special nickname that reflected the love and closeness they shared. These little traditions and loving gestures were a testament to the bond between a father and his daughter, a bond that will forever remain in Khloe’s heart.

Eugene was deeply passionate about his work as a journeyman electrician. He took great pride in his trade and was a longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union. His dedication, hard work, and commitment to his craft reflected the kind of man he was: dependable, hardworking, and proud of the work he did.

When he wasn't working, Eugene enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life meaningful. He was a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, enjoyed outdoor cooking, and loved fishing. Whether cheering on his favorite team, preparing food outdoors, or finding peace by the water with a fishing rod in hand, Eugene found happiness in the things he loved.

Eugene will be remembered for his gentle nature, generous heart, and willingness to care for others. He showed his love through his actions, his time, and the thoughtful ways he made people feel special. His kindness and warmth left a lasting impression on those around him.

Eugene is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Khloe Carmen; Grandfather Ramon Marquez; his mother, Joann Soto (David); his father, Edwin Chavez (Maxine); and his siblings, Eric Chavez (Mariana), Stephanie Duran (Josh), Amanda Marquez, Evelyn Marquez, Tamara Neville (Gary), and many Nieces and Nephews. His family was an important part of his life, and the memories and love they shared will remain in their hearts forever.

Eugene was preceded in death by his beloved Nana, Carmen Marquez. Though she is no longer here, her memory remains a cherished part of his family’s story.

Though Eugene's passing leaves a deep sadness in the hearts of those who loved him, the memories he created will continue to bring comfort and keep his spirit alive. For Khloe, the memories of weekend outings, mall visits, special dinners, and hearing her father call her “Monkey” will remain treasured reminders of a father's unconditional love.

Eugene's legacy lives on through his daughter, his family, the people he loved, the work he took pride in, and the countless memories that will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

May he rest in peace, knowing that the love he gave will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
