Hermenegilda Rubio Arzola Mares

Apr 13, 1953 — Jul 13, 2026

Hermenegilda Rubio Arzola Mares was born on April 13, 1953, in the village of La Cienega de los Remedios in Durango, Mexico, to Faustino and Manuela. She entered this world as the fourth of eight children — three girls and five boys. Her life was marked by love, humility, and faith. On July 13, 2026, while resting peacefully, she went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she loved dearly and served faithfully.

For 52 years, Meregilda shared a devoted marriage with her beloved husband, Mario Rubio Anaya. Together they built a family rooted in faith. She devoted her life to serving her husband, to raising five children and to caring for many others, including thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her legacy of kindness and selflessness lives on in each of them and the many other lives she touched.

Meregilda's life was a testimony of God's grace. Her children remember her as the most loving, humble, and selfless woman they have ever known. Her faith assures them that without a shadow of a doubt, the Lord Jesus Christ was waiting at heaven’s gate with open arms to welcome her home.

To her family and friends, she was not only Mami or Abuelita but also hermana, tía, cuñada, suegra, amiga, and so much more. Her kindness left a mark on us all, and we will carry her unconditional love and tremendous generosity in our hearts forever.

Her presence was a privilege, her love a gift, and her memory a blessing. Meregilda's family and friends take comfort in knowing that while she has gone ahead, her soul now rests in the presence of the Lord, and one day we will meet again.

With deep sadness and great affection.

If we live, we ive to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:8

Romanos 14:8
