In Loving Memory of Mary Louise HaslipFebruary 25, 1923 – September 2, 2025
With deep love and sorrow, our family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved matriarch, Mary Louise Haslip, who went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 2, 2025, at the incredible age of 102.
A devoted wife, mother, cherished grandmother, proud great-grandmother, loving sister, treasured aunt, and dear friend to many, Mary lived a long and meaningful life centered around family, faith, and love. Her warmth, kindness, laughter, and steady presence were the heart of our family.
Born on February 25, 1923, Mary grew up during a time of great change in the world, carrying with her a quiet strength and wisdom that came from a century of living fully. She had a gentle spirit, an open heart, a remarkable sense of humor and memories filled with stories that connected generations.
She found joy in life’s simplest treasures—family gatherings, the laughter of little children, the tender embrace of a newborn, and the comfort of sharing coffee and conversation at her kitchen table. Her home was always open, a place where neighbors, friends, and loved ones knew they were welcome. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, leaving behind the enduring gifts of generosity, love, and laughter.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Florence Davis, her beloved husband, Carl Haslip, her son Roger “Butch” Haslip, siblings-Homer Davis, Wilford Davis, Lillie Meadows, Billy Davis, Jeff Davis, and Gennell Miller, and many dear friends who now welcome her to her heavenly home.
She is survived by her youngest brother Harold Davis, her daughter Glenna Groves, her daughter n Law Patricia Haslip, her grandchildren, Mark and Lorraine Groves, Kristin Groves, John “Scooter” Haslip, and Mikey Haslip, her great grandchild Venita Haslip, her many nieces and nephews, and many friends who will miss her dearly and remember her always.
We are forever grateful for her love, her example, and the time we were blessed to share with her. Mary is now reunited in Heaven with loved ones and is resting in the arms of her Savior. Though we will miss her deeply, we rejoice in knowing we will see her again.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Berean Baptist Church 3800 Eubank Blvd NE Albuquerque NM 87111. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in her memory to the Berean Baptist Church Missions Ministry at Give - Berean Baptist Church.
