Obituary for Robert Felix Martinez (Aug. 5th 1964, July 2nd, 2026)

Robert Felix Martinez, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, passed away surrounded

by the love of his family. His life was defined by devotion to the people he cherished and the

quiet strength and good company he offered to anyone who needed it. Robert was the

devoted widower of Theresa, whose memory remained a guiding light in his life. Father to

Robert Jr., whom he loved deeply, and a caring step-father to Kelsie, embracing her with the

same warmth and commitment he gave to all his family. Preceded in death by Stepfather

Ruben. Godfather to Rupert Aragon Jr. He is survived by his mother Christine and father

Nick, and by his siblings Phyllis (David), Adrian (Rene), and Chris (Sarah), each of whom

shared a unique and enduring bond with him. Along with his six nephews: Rupert Aragon Jr,

Raymond & Andre Salguero, Christopher Martinez, Albert and Cisco Martinez; Three

nieces: Sofia, Dora and Ysabel Martinez.

Robert’s presence was steady and reassuring. Someone who laughed wholeheartedly was

forthright, direct, and showed up without hesitation. He was the uniting older brother,

caring father, and protective son. Born in Albuquerque, raised in Martineztown, he started

working at 14 at the Old Towne Little Anita’s. He later attended Albuquerque HS. A natural

athlete, he found success at precision sports like billiards, softball, bowling, and his 2nd

favorite thing…golf. #1, he was a diehard Denver Broncos fan, who truly bled orange and

blue. His legacy lives on in the family he shaped, the stories he leaves behind, and the love

and devotion he gave.

Services to be held at Immaculate Conception in Tome, NM on Wed 8/5/26 at 11am with

reception to follow at hall.
