Thomas Benjamen Lopez Jr.

Thomas Benajmen Lopez Jr, known as Squeeky to his close family, was called back to heaven on October 23, 2026. Squeeky is preceded in death by his son Reis Lopez, his parents Patsy and Thomas Lopez Sr, and his brothers Martin Lopez and Roland “Paco” Lopez.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, his childhood sweetheart, Grace Lopez, his daughter Lillian Whitman and her husband Anthony, his three granddaughters: Mariah Gallegos, Esperanza Lopez, and Deziree Montano, his only grandson Thomas Lopez III, his five great grandsons: Seidon Gallegos, Levi Uptain, Jaxson Silvas, XO Mouton, and Legend Montano, only great granddaughter Reign Martinez, as well as his younger brother Clarence “Yazzie” Lopez, his wife Ronda, and their three children: Isis, Jade and Osiris Lopez, his younger sister Clarissa “Tinka” Leyba, her husband Louie, their children Jessica and Paul Leyba, his sister-in-law Becky Lopez, and her children Theresa and Francisco Lopez. In 1976, at age 17, Thomas started working in the excavation industry and continued this until his life ended. He loved what he did, loved his industry, and helped to build the best community he could as an earthmover. In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to Pink Floyd, attending Seidon and Levi’s YAFL games, working on cars he would buy and restore from auctions, walking with his dogs, and moving dirt on his family plot of land in Los Lunas. Thomas was always willing to help whenever he could and can be described as one of the most generous people to exist. He will be greatly missed and loved for the rest of time.
