IN LOVING MEMORY OF JAKE ROYBAL
Jake Roybal passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2026, after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 9, 1959, and was 67 years old.
Jake was preceded in death by his son, Angelo Roybal; his mother, Jessie Roybal; his maternal grandparents, Jose Maria and Carmelita Roybal; his aunts, Refujito Roybal, Lucy Yrene (Dave), Frances Valencia (Bobby), and Delfinia Roybal; his uncles, Tiburcio Roybal (Marcella) and Vivian Lujan; his cousin and brother at heart, Ricky Romero; his cousin, Yolanda Valencia-Pena; and his beloved Martha Encinias.
He is survived by his son, Jacob Roybal and wife Kelly, and their five children, Jacob, Jazlyn, Jessica, Awbrie, and Dominic; great-granddaughter, Jaylah and by his grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremiah, Joshua, and Destiny, the children of his late son Angelo Roybal. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Melanie Garcia Schlosser and husband Matthew; his brother, James Roybal and wife Hilda; his nephew, Mathew Roybal and wife Gabrielle; his niece, Elisha Siener and husband Dilon; his nephew, Nicolas Roybal; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
Jake was a fun-loving man who enjoyed dancing, listening to Spanish and rock music, and spending time with family and friends. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand, share a laugh, or brighten someone’s day with his warm smile. His kindness, generosity, and love for those around him will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the memories we shared and in knowing that Jake is now at peace.
