Ron Floyd Salazar

It is with deep sadness that I announce the unexpected passing of Ronald Floyd Salazar. He was a loving Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He was preceeded in death by his Father James Salazar of Walsenburg, Colorado, His Mother Josie Salazar of Las Vegas, New Mexico, his youngest Sister Angela Guevara, and youngest Brother Eugene (Dino) Guevara.

He is survived by his Brother Michael Salazar of Raton and Sister Veronica Pfeifer of Santa Fe, his Stepdaughter Ramona Vigil, his Daughter Jennifer Salazar of Pueblo, Colorado, his Grand Daughters Nayelia Hernandez and Analicia Hernandez and his Grandson Emilanio Salazar and Great Grand Daughter Nevaeh Hernandez.

Ron worked as a custodian for the East LasVegas School System until his retirement. He also loved to work on vehicles, mostly his own. He bought, sold, and collected Die-cast vehicles. He was also an avid Flea Market Buyer and Seller. Ron will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace and may a perpetual light shine upon him.

Rosary and Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 5, 2026 beginning at 9:00 am at the Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 450 W. National Street, Las Vegas NM. Burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
