In Loving Memory of Arsenio "Tito" Agosto

Arsenio "Tito" Agosto, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born on December 14, 1936, in Juncos, Puerto Rico, to Martin and Graciela Agosto, Tito lived a life filled with laughter, music, family, and countless stories. He graduated from Jose M. Gallardo High School in Juncos and proudly served for four years in the Puerto Rican National Guard.

Throughout his working years, Tito held positions in retail as a sales representative and manager at an auto shop in Puerto Rico before later working in a cosmetics factory in New York. His life journey took him from Puerto Rico to New York and ultimately to Colorado in 2002, where he made his home for the last 24 years.

Tito was a man who knew how to enjoy life. He loved gathering around a domino table, watching baseball, cheering on the New York Mets and Colorado Rockies, and trying his luck with lottery and scratch tickets. While he never seemed to hit the big jackpot, he had a remarkable talent for winning just enough to keep playing. He loved going out to dinner, spending time with family, and sharing a little “bochinche” with relatives and friends.

Known for his feisty spirit, stubborn determination, and sharp sense of humor, Tito never lost his charm. Even in his later years, he could often be found dancing and charming the ladies at the residential community where he lived during the last eight years of his life. He brought smiles to those around him and formed meaningful friendships with fellow residents and caregivers who became an important part of his extended family.

Tito was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Graciela Agosto; his son, Edwin Agosto; his brother, Roberto Agosto; his sister, Maria "Lulin" Monserrate; his grandson, Nelson Rivera; and his former wife, Margarita Agosto. Though their marriage ended after nearly 26 years, Margarita remained family, and their bond continued through the family they built together.

He is survived by his daughters, Sonia Agosto and Sandra Ewert; his sisters, Graciela "Iris" Agosto, Tomasa "Tomy" Agosto, and Margarita "Mayi" Agosto; his brother, Miguel "Papo" Agosto; and his grandchildren Sandimar Timberman, Isa Marie Archuletta, Walkiria Agosto, Neshmayra Agosto, Edwin Agosto Jr., Mark Lopez, Xavier Rivera, Frankie Rivera, and Luis Rivera. He was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, including Omar & Bella Archuletta, Dominic Archuletta, Jayden Archuletta, Elica Lopez, Alanie Archuletta, and Adonis Archuletta, along with many more beloved descendants on the East Coast and in Puerto Rico who brought him tremendous pride and joy throughout his life.

Family was the center of Tito's world. Whether through a joke, a story, a dance, a baseball game, or simply sitting together with some dominoes and talking, he made sure those around him knew they were loved.
