Jonathan Garcia
January 7, 1990 — June 20, 2025
In Eternal and Loving Memory
Jonathan GarciaJanuary 7, 1990 – June 20, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jonathan Garcia, born on January 7, 1990, in Denver, Colorado. Jonathan brought warmth, laughter, and adventure to everyone who knew him. He passed away on June 20, 2025, far too soon, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of love.
Jonathan was a true Colorado soul who found peace and joy in the mountains. He loved nothing more than driving with music playing, getting lost among the trees, and discovering or creating new trails. His passion for exploration was matched only by his love of good food, good beer, and good company. Whether enjoying spicy dishes like green chili and pho or grilling at a family BBQ, Jonathan's enthusiasm was infectious.
He was an avid fan of Monday night wrestling, Marvel movies—especially anything featuring Iron Man—and lazy movie days that called for binge-watching favorites like Twilight and Stranger Things. Jonathan also cheered fiercely for his hometown teams: The Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, and (with good humor) the Rockies, no matter how they played.
Jonathan’s sense of humor, his big heart, and his genuine love for life made him a light in the lives of many. He deeply valued his family and the joy of simply being together. He loved laughing—and he loved that he was loved.
In his passing, Jonathan gave the ultimate gift—he was an organ donor, and through his selfless act, he saved six lives. His generosity and compassion will live on through the people he helped and the love he left behind.
He is survived by his father, German Garcia; his mother, Maria Guadalupe Tellez; and his stepmother, Kathy Garcia. He is also survived by his siblings: German Emilio Garcia, Jessica Garcia, Christina Romero, and Emily Acosta; and by his significant other, Alisha Almanza, and her children: Sarai, Lucille, and Xavier, all of whom he cared for as his own.
“Our beloved son, brother, and friend will be greatly missed.”
