Viola Vialpando
Nov 4, 1945 — Jul 7, 2026
Viola Maria (Betancourt) Vialpando, born on November 4, 1945, in Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on July 7, 2026 in Aurora, Colorado.
Viola was born to Victor and Tilly Betancourt and lived a life centered on family, love and quiet strength. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Silven Vialpando, who she met in Clovis, New Mexico in 1971. Together they built a life filled with love, commitment, and cherished memories through the many years of military life as a proud Air Force wife.
Throughout her life, Viola worked various jobs, but her greatest calling was caring for those she loved. "She was very reserved in her ways -which was the only way" - yet those who know her also knew her deep passion, unwavering love, and quiet determination. She found joy in lifes simple pleasures. She loved word search, scrapbooking, and creating diamond art. She never missed an episode of General Hospital, enjoyed watching Family Fued, looked forward to playing Bingo, and loved trying her luck at the casinos. Above all, she treasured every moment with her family.
Viola will be remembered for her warm smile, her loving but stubborn heart and, of course, the legendary chancla that kept everyone on their toes. "Her kindness, strength, and the memories she created will continue to live on through the many lives she touched."
She is survived by her beloved husband, Silven Vialpando; children Isidore (John), Debbie, Charlotte, Judy and Sylvia, 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. "Though she has left this earthly life, Viola's love, strength, smile and unwavering devotion to her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered."
