Arturo G. Martinez

It is with heavy hearts, we share the passing of Arturo Martinez, who passed on August 11th at the age of 84. 

He was born on July 18th, 1941 in Del Norte Colorado. Art lived life on his own terms. He was truly one of a kind - wise, quick witted, straightforward, and full of character. Art was a man of simple routines - crossword puzzles with his morning coffee, scratching off lottery tickets, and enjoying a good smoke. These little things brought him great joy, and so did time spent with those he loved. In remembering him, we honor a life lived simply, loved quietly, and memories that will last forever.

Arturo is survived by his loving wife of 61 years in October, Tina-Maria; his children, Donna and Randy; his grandchildren, Jimmy, Anthony, Shayla, Cheyenne, and Charlene; and his great grandchildren, Rebecca and Hayleigh. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ana; his brothers, Richard and Albert; his sister, Angie; his daughter, Julie; and his grandson, Jacob. 

A gathering to honor his life will be held on August 26th at 8:30am at the Church of Ascension Family in Montbello. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend and celebrate Arturo’s life.
