Anita Marie Jiminez

Anita Marie Jiminez was born April 4, 1959 in La Junta, Co to Robert Sherman and Patricia Jiminez she was adopted by her grandparent Eddie and Lucy Jiminez. She attended La Junta high school graduating with the class of 1977.

She moved to Denver and married Richard Lucero in 1979. From that marriage she had two children Maria and Rick.

In 1997 she married her current husband Mario Ortiz where she was blessed with 3 wonderful stepchildren, Mayda, Patricia and Joaquin.

Anita loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren,

Her favorite thing was collecting toys and creating gift bags for friends and family

Anita is survived by her husband Mario, children, Maria Lucero, Mayda Ortiz, Patricia (Mel Hernandez), Joaquin (Rochelle) Ortiz, Grandchildren Alyana Weichel, Aaliyah Lucero, Tristan Morris, Jovany Ortiz (Dayana), Faviola Ortiz (Erick Quintana), Jackie Hernandez (Rogelio Rayos) Santiago Hernandez, Mateo Hernandez, Emilio Oritz Adamari Ortiz, brother, great grandchildren, Sydnee and Eden Quintana, Dahlia Hernandez, Cataleya Ortiz.

Sister Bobby Jiminez, brothers Michael (Helen) Jacobs, Jason Jacobs, Nieces, Stephanie Jiminez, Hannah, Rachel and Alex Jacobs, nephews Jake, Josh, Tristan, Talon and Alec Jacobs.

She was preceded in death by her son Richard Lucero, parents, Robert Sherman and Patricia Jiminez, Grandparents Eddie and Lucy Jiminez, Frank and Domie Sherman. Brothers Martin Jacobs and Erik Steffen. niece Sarah Jacobs.
