Elijah Michael Ward

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Elijah Michael Ward, of Denver, Colorado, who left us on September 6, 2026, at the age of 31.

Elijah was a loving son, devoted father, cherished brother, grandson, uncle, godson, and a loyal friend to many. Above all else, Elijah loved being a father. His children were a very special part of his life, and he treasured the time he spent with them. He will forever be remembered for the love he had for his family and the people closest to him.

Elijah had many passions that brought him joy. He loved sports, gaming, and making music. He had a creative spirit and a way of bringing his personality into everything he enjoyed. He was also a devoted friend who cared deeply for the people in his life and created friendships that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Elijah worked as a Warehouse Manager for Simpson Strong-Tie, where he built a career and was respected by those he worked alongside.

Elijah is survived by his beloved children, Elijah Ward Jr. (Mother, Monique Olsen) and Miya Lopez (Mother, Danielle Lopez); his parents, Viola (Frank) Rodriguez and Michael (Nikole) Ward; his siblings, Michaela (Gerald) Gallegos, Nadiya (Aeneas) Maynes, Michael Ward Jr., Kristen (Rigo) Huerta, Frank (Savannah) Rodriguez IV, Amisha (Athena) Gallegos, and Ciara Rodriguez; and his 19 nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

He is also survived by his godmother, Nanette Duran, and godfather, Juan Martinez; grandfathers Frank Rodriguez Jr. and Robert Trujillo; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.

Elijah was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gilbertia Sanchez, Paul Duran, Teresa Ward and Rita Rodriguez and his niece Olivia Perez.

Though his time with us was far too short, the memories Elijah created will remain forever. His laughter, his music, his love for his children, his friendships, and the moments shared with his family will be carried in our hearts. Elijah will never be forgotten. He will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever be a part of us.

Rest peacefully, Elijah. Your journey here may have ended, but your story continues through the lives and hearts of everyone who loved you.
