Ezequiel Roberto "Bob" Trujillo was loved by many. He was a man full of life who loved to be the center of attention. He was a man of many famous sayings who enjoyed making others laugh:
"Simple Operation", "Pull this finger", "Lick it and pass it on", "Hello Walls", "Not on the agenda" "You're looking bad to me Do Do", "The Dr. told me I couldn't hold it", "Born Free"
He enjoyed his early life growing up on the farm in the San Luis Valley with his horse Daisy and his dog Tuffy. His childhood was full of learning hard work from his father Esequiel and his mother Esther. He had two sisters; Rosie and Cindy and his brother Richard. He graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1960. Four years later, he married his junior high sweetheart Deluvina (Ortega) also from Monte Vista in a beautiful June wedding surrounded by their family and friends. This June marked their 50th wedding anniversary and they were able to spend it together. They spent their honeymoon at Mesa Verde.
Bob and Del raised three children: Pam, Robert and Claudette. Their early married life included camping trips, family bbq's, Ski High Stampede, t.v. dinners, playing poker, movies and visits to Sloan's Lake. The couple enjoyed dancing together and listening to their favorite songs
He worked for Walgreen Drug. Co. for 33 years and worked his way to Store Manager. He devoted his life to sacrificing and being able to provide for his family. He took pride in being a family man and always putting his family first in life. They made a commitment that they would pay for all three children to attend college and did just that. His children completed college, which gave Bob a great deal to be proud of. His hobbies included playing guitar and singing, fishing, hunting, gardening, westerns, watching boxing and anything about history. He loved watching MSNBC news and keeping up with politics. He loved many pets through the years and most recently adopted a rescue dog Timmy from Monte Vista, his hometown.
Bob and Del have four grandchildren; Manuel, Blake Ezequiel and Eloisa. They learned humor, unconditional love and adventure from their grandfather. Bob is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Cemetery Details
