Frank James "Poncho" Padilla

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Frank James “Poncho” Padilla, who passed away on July 21, 2026, in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 69.

Born on February 8, 1957, in Colorado, Frank was the beloved son of Fritz Padilla and Rose Trujillo. He spent his life in the Denver area, where he built lifelong friendships and created countless memories with the family he cherished most.

Frank was once married to Sally, and together they built a family that remained the center of his life. He was a devoted father to Misty, Shantel, and Francisco, and an incredibly proud grandfather to Erin,Jacob, Ashlyn, Alexis, Eliah, Daylaren, Ivan, Alaura, Savana, Gavino, and Gonzago. His heart grew even fuller as he became a great-grandfather to Ava, Baby Bano, Moni, Zion, River, and Sloan, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.

Anyone who knew Poncho knew he had a personality that could light up a room. He was always impeccably dressed, never leaving the house without looking put together. He loved cruising around on his scooter, making people laugh with his jokes, and teasing those he loved with his quick wit.

Above all else, he loved his children and grandchildren fiercely.

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Fritz Padilla and Rose Trujillo, as well as his siblings.

Poncho’s legacy is one of unwavering love, resilience, humor, and family. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
