Jay Edward Brantley
May 5, 1946 — May 19, 2022
How do I describe this man in a few words. Jay was born in Kirksville, Missouri May 5, 1946. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a Radar Air Traffic Control Specialist overseas and stateside during Vietnam.
Jay was a very kind man. He was a man of many interests and at times considered to be somewhat complex. He was exceptionally intelligent and always wanted to be learning something new every day especially in the sciences of math and physics. He loved music and was a very good dancer. He loved being around dogs and horses...said they calmed his sole. He could fix anything, loved technology as a Systems Analyst and loved wearing his cowboy boots. Also, quite often he would do or say something out of the blue that would make you laugh so hard you cried. We also can't forget how much he loved his deserts especially his lemon meringue pie and chocolate cake. He was generally just a good guy and will be sincerely missed.
"He is survived by his wife Donna; two brothers Ray and HC and his sister Beverly. There are also his nieces and nephews, Jorden, John Daniel, Ray A. (Chip), Karri, Erika and Katlyn, his nieces and nephews."
There will be a short Gravesite Ceremony at Ft. Logan Cemetery June 1, 2022 at 1:30 , Staging area "B".
